Wasps field hockey made a valiant effort on Saturday

The Wasps field hockey team mounted a furious comeback against the Bellows Falls Terriers on Saturday. Though they would ultimately fall 3-2.
The Terriers field hockey squad jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first half with goals scored by Bellows Falls’ Kenna Applegate, Veronica Moore, and Avery Maxfield.
As the first half came to a close, Woodstock’s Lexi Audsley set up a goal by Betta Cirovic with five seconds remaining to make the halftime score 3-1.
The Wasps added a second goal early in the third period off the stick of Cirovic to make it 3-2, but failed to score again.
The loss drops the Wasps to 3-4-1 on the year, while Bellows Falls is looking strong at 6-1-1.
