The hills were alive at BarnArts’ opening weekend of “The Sound of Music”

Nearly 500 flocked to Woodstock’s King Farm for the first weekend of BarnArts’ production of “The Sound of Music,” a classic musical about the power of love and music amid challenging times. Ancient maples, stone walls, and views of rolling hills provided the set for the production’s cast and crew of over 30 local creatives, supported by a live orchestra. There are three more scheduled performances — June 27-29 — Friday and Saturday at 6 p.m. and Sunday at 4 p.m.
