Bethel Rite Aid, pharmacy closing June 22

Bethel Rite Aid closing June 22 On June 22, the Bethel Rite Aid will be closing its doors. According to a recent press release, outstanding prescriptions will be transferred to the Rite Aid in Springfield. This comes in the wake of multiple Rite Aid pharmacies closing across the country and state, including locations in Windsor, Randolph, and Brattleboro.

The Gifford Health Center in Bethel, which previously utilized the Bethel Rite Aid for patient prescriptions, spoke to the Standard about the pharmacy closing and what this could mean for patrons. Jason Strahm, Gifford Health pharmacy employee, said, “We are encouraging our patients to transfer prescriptions to Kinney Drugs in Randolph. The other options are always to go into West Lebanon, perhaps if a patient chooses to drive and pick up groceries along with a prescription, or Dartmouth-Hitchcock pharmacy offers mail-order prescription refills.”
